Fabulous new flavours!

October 10, 2017

We’ve been a little quiet lately as we’ve been working on some lovely new flavours! Some of you may have already seen them on our shop but for those who haven’t, we now have a Beetroot flavour and a Broccoli & Spirulina flavour. We are chuffed to bits with them and our dogs love them – we hope yours will too!

As always, we have only used natural ingredients with absolutely no added chemicals, preservatives or additives.

Beetroot’s stunning colour lets us know, loud and clear, that it is stuffed full of anti-inflammatory properties. They contain phytonutrients called betalains which have been shown to provide antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and detoxification support.
• Antioxidants help to prevent the cell damage that leads to ageing and disease.
• Anti-inflammatory compounds help to counteract the enzymes released in response to the inflammatory process.
• Detoxification of toxins is carried out by the liver to rid the body of unwanted substances.

Broccoli contains a compound called indole-3-carbinol which has been shown to anticarcinogenic properties. Again, it is full of antioxidants to help support healthy cells and is useful in supporting the detoxification of unwanted compounds out of the body. It contains sulphur which is necessary for the development of connective tissue and helps skin maintain structural integrity.

Spirulina is a nutrient dense, microalgae that grows naturally in oceans and salty lakes. It contains significant amounts of calcium, niacin, potassium, magnesium, B vitamins and iron as well as essential amino acids (compounds that are the building blocks of protein). It also has antioxidant properties, helping to combat cell and DNA damage which leads to cancer, heart disease and other chronic illnesses.

We use these ingredients in our treats as they are natural and dogs can digest them easily. We want to achieve variety using as few natural elements as we can, without the use of stabilisers, chemicals, additives or preservatives.

Whilst we list the health benefits of the ingredients that we use, we do not claim that the quantities used in our treats are of therapeutic value and we feel that it is important to point this out. We simply want to use foods that are nutritionally beneficial and will not hinder your pet’s health.
